Refunds

Fourteen days, no reason needed. If you bought Iqamah Pro directly from this website and want a refund within 14 days of purchase, email support@iqamahapp.com and say so. You do not have to explain, justify, or troubleshoot anything first.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method by Stripe, who processed the payment. Stripe typically takes 5 to 10 business days to return the money to your bank or card issuer; that part is out of our hands.

When a refund is issued, the licence stops working. Iqamah returns to its free features on each Mac the next time it checks, and the app keeps working — you keep prayer times, the Hijri date, reminders and the rest. Nothing you entered is deleted, because your data lives on your Mac and not on our server.

Asking after 14 days is still worth doing. There is no automatic entitlement, but we would rather refund someone who is unhappy than keep the money, and we generally will.

Try it before you buy it

Every Pro feature is available on a 7-day free trial with no card required. Starting there is the honest way to find out whether Pro is worth $4.99 to you, and it means most people never need this page.

Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. Digital content delivered immediately is an exception to that right where you have agreed to immediate delivery, but we do not rely on that exception: the refund policy above is offered voluntarily and is at least as generous. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer law where you live.

VAT and any other applicable sales tax is calculated and remitted by Stripe at checkout, and is shown before you pay. A refund returns the tax along with the price.

Chargebacks

Please email before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee on top of the refund, takes months to resolve, and gets you your money more slowly than simply asking would. We have never refused a refund request inside the window.

Support

Write to support@iqamahapp.com. A person reads it. We aim to reply within two business days, and usually do so sooner.

What helps us help you faster:

• the version of Iqamah, from the menu bar icon then About Iqamah;
• your macOS version;
• what you expected and what happened instead;
• a screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.

Please do not send us your licence key. We never need it, and we can find your purchase from your email address alone.

Licences

I lost my licence key

Nothing is lost. Open Iqamah’s Preferences, choose Recover License, and enter the email address you bought with. The key is sent to that address. We do not store your key in a form we can read — only a one-way hash of it — so recovery re-derives it rather than looking it up, and neither we nor anybody who obtained our database could read it out.

How many Macs can I use?

Three at once, on a single purchase. That is meant to cover a desktop, a laptop and one more, rather than to be counted carefully.

I am replacing a Mac

Open Preferences on the Mac you are keeping, look at the list of activated Macs, and remove the one you no longer use. That frees the slot immediately. If the old Mac is already gone, sold or broken, email us and we will free it for you.

My licence stopped working

Iqamah checks its entitlement periodically and keeps working offline in between, so a licence should never lapse because of a bad network. If Pro features have disappeared, try Refresh License in Preferences first, and write to us if that does not restore it. Do not buy a second licence to work around it.

The App Itself

Updates

Updates are free for the life of the app and install themselves. There is no subscription, no upgrade fee, and no version you have to buy again.

Requirements

macOS 14 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac. Iqamah is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a security warning.

Reporting something wrong with prayer times

Prayer times depend on your location, your calculation method and your madhab, and a time that looks wrong is usually one of those three rather than a bug. Tell us your city, the method you have selected, and the time you expected, and we will work out which it is.
